CAN I PUT MY MOTORIZED BOAT ON LAKE ZURICH?
Lake Zurich is a private lake owned mostly by residents and associations that surround the lake. You must have lake front property, deeded lake rights, or get permission from someone who has lake rights to place and operate a boat on Lake Zurich.
ARE DAY PERMITS AVAILABLE FOR NON-MOTORIZED WATERCRAFT?
Lake Zurich residents have the opportunity to launch non-motorized watercraft from Paulus Park. Watercraft include: Kayaks, Canoes, Paddleboats, Windsurfers, Row Boats, and Long Boards. Inflatable watercraft are not permitted. All watercraft need to stay in the “No Wake Zone” of Lake Zurich, wear a PFD (Personal Flotation Device), carry a whistle for emergencies, and review the rules of Lake Zurich listed in PDF format below. Permits for non-powered watercraft access cost $5 and are available at the “Barn” during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:00 pm, or at Paulus Park Beach during normal hours of operation. Daily permits are required and violators are subject to fines.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M NOT APPROVED FOR A MOTORIZED STICKER?
The LPOA will do its best to get back to applicants in a timely matter with reasons for denial and possible corrective steps needed for successful registration.
WHEN IS THE ANNUAL MEETING?
The annual meeting is generally held at 7 pm on the third Thursday in May. See “Reminders” for actual dates and times.
WHO IS PROCESSING MY CREDIT CARD?
Your credit card is processed off site with a service called Stripe. Stripe is PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) compliant, so your credit card information never touches the LZLPOA server. Stripe takes the card directly, processes the payment and sends it directly to the LZLPOA bank account. Stripe also does not store the card information, it is not saved to their server after the transaction.
WHEN WILL I GET MY STICKER?
If your order is approved then your stickers should arrive via US Mail in 7-10 days. If your order is not approved we will send you an email and provide a full refund.
